Raised in San Dimas, California, Amy has been singing  and performing her entire life. She is a classically trained pianist and vocalist who has been playing the piano since the age of 4. She has over 15 years of professional singing experience with large audiences where she opened for many country music greats including; Trace Adkins, Clint Black, Charlie Daniels, Little Texas, Hal Ketchum, Phil Vassar, Josh Gracin and others. While in Nashville, she caught the attention of many industry professionals for her powerful vocals and glamorous style. Amy was featured in the July 2009 issue of Country Weekly Magazine as well as the September 2009 cover story for Nashville Music Guide. Her contagious spirit and her passion for music resonate to all who hear her. She has overcome tremendous obstacles throughout her journey and now uses that to bring hope and encouragement through her music. She recorded her first album, Right Here Right Now,  in 2007.  Amy recently recorded a new EP in “Music City” (Nashville, TN) produced by legendary music Producer Fred Mollin at Sound Emporium Studios. Release date fall of 2021.

In 2012, after years of touring the national stage full time, Amy decided to reenter the business world specializing in Business Development and Media Coaching for Executives. As a Media Coach, she has provided public speaking coaching and on-camera training for corporate clients by providing team training seminars, as well as for business executives and entrepreneurs, who are looking to enhance their virtual or digital media skills. As a Motivational Speaker,  Amy  uses examples from her own life story to help empower and motivate others. 

Amy was the official Spokesperson for the American Veterans (AMVETS) service foundation for California from 2009 through 2011. Amy’s single “Coming Home”, written by Dave Adams and produced by Paul McKenna, is a celebration song for our heroes. At the beginning of 2010, she decided to dedicate her musical talents to the Veterans and Troops for all her performances. Amy’s oldest son, Ryan Scruggs stepped into lead guitar in 2011 and shared the stage and dream with her by performing alongside her. Amy’s Patriotism shines through in her known traditional version of the National Anthem. In 2011, at the request of the United States Army, Los Angeles Recruiting Battalion, Amy was chosen to perform the National Anthem at Dodger Stadium for the 10 year anniversary of 9/11. She recently performed at Military Appreciation Day at San Diego Padres Petco Park Stadium for local Gold Star Families. 

As a Media Executive, Amy is known as the “Voice and Face” of Mutual of Omaha Mortgage, where she writes, directs and hosts a national digital marketing campaign for a Fortune 500 company. She is also the host for the national TV show, “Financing The American Dream”, on CNBC.  Her other hosting credits include the TV shows, The American Dream, Lifestyles San Diego, and the Retiring Right Show; which are streaming on various networks and digital platforms nationwide. Amy is the current Co Host for the National TV show “The American Dream”, as well as ‘”Lifestyles San Diego”. Her previous hosting credits include,  “The Retiring Right Show” and “Veterans One”.  She is currently filming a new TV show called, “Financing The American Dream”, which airs Saturday mornings on CNBC.  

Although Amy started in Country Music she is also known for her powerful vocals and piano playing. She continues to perform at private and corporate events, including recent openings for  music legends Chubby Checker, Frankie Avalon and Tony Orlando.  She is continually dedicated to her support of the veteran and non-profit community through her singing appearances, TV show, community involvement and her 501 (c) 3 ,  “Voice For Heroes”. 

Amy is also a published Author, her new book, “LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION”Media Coaching for Any Professional in Today’s Digital Worldis scheduled for release in the fall of 2021. Amy wrote this book, as a way to help her clients become more confident in front of the camera. After interviewing hundreds of professionals on her various TV shows, she realized that most people have great anxiety whenever the camera turns on and would “freeze up” during filming. She began “coaching” her guests before the camera went on and taught them her secrets to overcoming their public speaking fears. This was so successful that she wrote a book sharing these same tips and techniques. Today, Amy uses these same skills to coach corporate clients, business professionals and entrepreneurs, and is considered one of the Top Media Coaches in her field. Her Media Coaching Course for Executives is so successful that she created the on-line version of her private training into a Web based training course called “Media Training for Professionals”.
